WHEN DUTCH MASTERS COLLIDE WITH LINEN HOUSE …
04 April 2017
This season, we revel in a grand return to floral. Our hero design Marselha, inspired by the seventeenth-century paintings of the Dutch Masters, has been beautifully reimagined into a still-life masterpiece.

“We went straight to the source of the magnificent oil paintings created in Europe – especially Holland – during this period”, our head of design Sue Morris explains.

Combined in this stunning design are the painting skills of this specific era with that of the present, all achieved by changing scale, composition and colour to create a design that is fresh but just as nostalgic and sublime as the originals.

With its romantic, oversized floral design printed on soft cotton, Marselha allows us to bring the outdoors in. Escape the chaos of modern life and immerse yourself within the beauty of nature.

The design’s painterly tones sit well with the emergence of the darker and more cutting-edge bedroom trend. This helps you to create a diverse interior that combines elegant, interesting antiques with stylish modern pieces.

“This season we embrace an eclectic look that crosses barriers of styles and periods – a creative attitude that is both modern and confident”. Morris states.

So this season, settle petal: let’s stay in with Marselha. Indulge in this magnificent design here.
